Remy Koehler is a Pitt student studying History and Fiction Creative Writing. Their primary research interests involve political and cultural interactions in Medieval and Early Modern Eastern and Central Europe (Kingdom of Poland, Polish-Lithuanian Personal Union, Rus’ Principalities, Golden Horde, etc.). They're interested in the ways that we imagine and rationalize Medieval and Early modern political entities in relation to cultural identity and territories, in the absence of the modern nation-state. They're also interested in public history and history communication methods in the digital age.
